June 12-15, 2008: Idaho State Democratic Convention - Boise. Our 13 delegates are planning and preparing to represent Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, as well as working on the Idaho Democrats platform and any issues important to Bonner County. IDP 2008 Convention page.

Sagle Bike Path (MM 469-470) - Meet at 9 a.m. near MM 469 (old Hwy 95) near the Bike Trail Sign on the east side of Hwy 95 in Sagle. Wear outdoor clothing, sturdy boots, and bring gloves. Everything else will be provided. Call 265-7251 to volunteer, or for more information.

Thursday, October 11: Sandpoint Comp Plan Workshop
Sandpoint Community Hall (204 S 1st Avenue, Sandpoint) - 6 to 8:30 p.m.

This is the fifth of six public meetings to guide development of a new comprehensive plan for the City. Sandpoint Comp Plan Web Page

The workshop will present a draft land-use map as developed by participants and a City plan steering committee, and outline policy alternatives to aid overall plan objectives. Participants will be asked to evaluate, refine or revise the approaches, and suggest key "next steps" the City should consider in order to meet its goals. A draft version of the Sandpoint plan will be presented at a meeting in January of 2008, with City consideration and adoption of the plan to follow. Thursday, October 25th: Sandpoint City Candidates Forum
Blue Sky Broadcasting and Sandpoint Reader sponsor a Candidate's Forum in the Panida Theater at 6:30 p.m. All candidates for positions on the Sandpoint City Council and the mayor's race are invited to participate. Doors open at 6 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.
